Role Overview
As the Product Owner – Documentation, you’ll lead the creation and maintenance of all product education content. Your core output will be generating and updating content in both text and video formats, designed to drive product adoption, reduce support volume, and support our growth efforts.
You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and marketing to transform complex workflows, APIs, and automations into clear, accessible content — and ensure documentation becomes a key lever for user success and acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Dapta’s product documentation, primarily hosted in GitBook, but also maintained across Notion, Markdown, and Confluence
- Create and update tutorials and guides that explain APIs, workflows, and platform features (both written and video formats)
- Produce video tutorials, walkthroughs, and onboarding content
- Collaborate with marketing to share documentation updates across email, social media, and other customer-facing channels
- Ensure documentation supports our GTM efforts and serves as a growth and adoption driver
- Keep content aligned with product changes and user needs
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience writing product documentation for technical software or APIs
- Strong understanding of workflows, APIs, and automation tools
- Skilled in tools like GitBook, Notion, Markdown, Confluence, and Figma
- Ability to create video tutorials (scripting, screen recording, editing)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and engineering
- Bonus: Background in software education or customer enablement
